Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will begin to be accepted on 10/1/23 and will not be accepted prior to this date.
All applications received between 10/1/23 and 10/20/23 will be entered into a random selection enrollment process to determine acceptance into the program.
The random selection drawing will occur on or before 10/31/23 and families will be notified of the results of the drawing by 11/3/23.
All applications entered into the random selection enrollment process that are not granted placement, will be automatically placed on our waiting list. All applications received on or after 10/21/23 will be added to the wait list in the order in which they were received.
Needham Preschool is an integrated preschool program in which children of different levels of ability are educated together. Children with and without disabilities participate in our program. We are mandated to enroll children who are not identified with special needs in each of our integrated classrooms to provide peer modeling to our students who are identified with special needs.
If you have specific concerns about any areas of your child's development, please contact the Needham Preschool at (781) 455-0416 ext. 55133 to coordinate a developmental screening by the early childhood specialists.
If you do not have concerns about your child's development and are interested in enrolling in the Needham Preschool, please complete and submit an application.*Children must be 3 years old by August 31st in order to enroll in preschool.
To apply for admission to you may use one of the following methods - available October 1st:
* Online Google application (highly preferred - link) OR
* Hard copy application (link) and return via email or in person
Once you have been notified of your child's acceptance into the program, here are the steps to take secure enrollment:
(Note: DO NOT PROCEED TO REGISTER without submitting an application and receiving a written confirmation of acceptance into the program!)
Step 1. You will need submit a non refundable deposit of $300 for half day programming or $600 for full day programming. You may submit payment electronically via the online link in your acceptance letter. Or, you may make a check payable to Needham Public Schools (mailing address: 28 Glen Gary Road, Needham, MA 02494 - Attention: Billing Department - Preschool Tuition Deposit).
Step 2. Complete the On-line Student Registration (link)
(not required for returning students - new students only)
The following documents are required at the time of district enrollment with School Registrar:
• Original birth certificate or passport
• Proof of Residency
o Owners: real estate tax bill, or town water/sewer bill, or signed P&S
o Renters: lease and utility bill
• Submit a copy of the most recent immunization record/physical examination. For more information please read Required Health Information (link)
• Complete a Health History Form (link) along with copy of most recent immunization records/physical examination
• Complete a Home Language Survey (link)
• Copy of IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
• Custody papers (if relevant)
